CALLING ALL SKA FAITHFULS!!!

"CHECKERED PAST" TONIGHT!!!

Webster Theater Underground, Hartford CT

Doors at 9pm

18+ seven bucks
21+ five bucks

Here's your chance to skank to the upbeats of ska's brilliant past and clandestine present in a dancehall setting courtesy of DJ Jefftingley!! Hope to see you there!

Short notice I realize, but I figured this is too cool an event to keep to myself.

Pick it up Rudeboys and Rudegirls!!!

Bad Reaction

I'm a big fan of Culver City Dub Collective. They have a contest going on now- show your “bad reaction” and you could win a signed Yamaha snare drum, CDs and other cool stuff. They’re pretty funny, check out the reaction of the girl who gets hit w/ a fish lol http://www.brickfish.com/music/culvercity?tab=1&m_CulverCityBadReaction

HELP!

My boyfriend and I love ska music.

He lives in Ohio and I live in Detroit. He drives to me every weekend...

I wanna make him a super rad ska mix to drive to.

ANY IDEAS????

Basically, any really bouncing happy ska songs will do (cuz he drives to me at like 5 am...so he needs fast and happy).

THANKS!

HFuneral

A bunch of my friends are in a ska band called Hollywood Funeral.
their myspace> http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=7028733

They're pretty good, and this Sunday theyre playing a skabrawl at saratoga winners in upstate new york, with The Toasters, Big D, and Go Jimmy Go. So I have to say that I am just soo excited, I never thought that they would make it this far.

Also, this will be my last entry in this community, because it seems to be sort of dead. Add me if you want.
